  Can I give it 6 stars??  Totally loved this gem of a restaurant.  Mom is truly in the back cooking and the specials were fantastic.  Wednesday is chicken paella and Thursday is chicken schnitzel.  Order ahead Thursday if you want it ready by a certain time.  Small location with very limited seating, but totally worth it!

  Charlotte's Homemade Goodies is a testament that you can't judge a community based on the clientele that it mainly serves.  Located on Traders Blvd, the area is predominantly inudstrial/commerical businesses and if you were to drive by the area, you wouldn't given many places a 2nd look.  Charlotte's is practically a hidden gem and for those (including myself) who've been, you will see why you will fall in love with this place and easily consider this as a lunch option.
  
  So the storefront is tiny, it has 4 tables and its bar where the cash register is and the sandwich counter, where the sandwiches are made.  The store is filled with all the charm, with plants growing all over the store, and lil cute displays of freshly baked goods.  Just as a warning, if you're going for the lunch rush, try to come early or call them if you want the hot item of the day, otherwise it sells out quickly.  
  
  Their menu is mainly sandwiches/soups/salads, but they offer hot meals as well, or rather hot meal of the day.  I went on Tuesday and got Beef Goulash, but each day has as feature item (Thursday is chicken schnitzel)
  
  Beef goulash is served with spaetzle (or rice), for $9 and it's $2 extra for a small salad.  Nice portions, beef goulash is delicious, hearty, and feels like a homemade meal.  Not an expert on spaetzle (only had it once in Germany) but has a pasta like quality to it, not too over/undercooked.  
  
  Salad, pretty good, had beets in it, which I love and it's slightly different than your standard salad.
  
  What I want to rave about is their pretzel, because holy heck, it's reallllllllllllly good.  All the desired textures I expect out of bread is on this pretzel, crunchy exterior, chewy interior, with a sprinkle of herb to add a bit of salinity to it, add that with their homemade sauces and it's really delicious.  The employee there told me that they use the pretzel as their sandwich bread and I jumped for joy because I can only imagine the sandwich tasting amazing (so I'm destined to go back a 2nd time)  Honestly this is such an underrated hidden gem, it's a place I'd advise any one in the area to go, and the owners are so sweet, they'll give you small samples of their pretzels.  You can't help but smile while being there.

  I came here for lunch from work one day, since it was close by. she got me to try the sauces on the famous pretzel bun which is DELICIOUS! the green garlic sauce is TO DIE FOR! I got the roasted chicken sandwich, which was good, but I think the chicken needs just a bit more seasoning personally. Regardless, the sandwich was so good and I got a brownie as well which was delicious! the pickled onions were also delish and a great touch to the sandwich.
  
  I would definitely be back!
  
  This is a small family owned restaurant and you can feel the warmth and love from the employees! They do take is easy, so don't come if you're in a big rush!

  All the 5-star reviews are spot on. I want looking for this premise, since the reviews were so positive. This place is unreal, everything is made to order fresh, yes fresh! The flavours are so unique and delicious. This was my first time, but won't be my last.

  This was my first time coming here and boy was I blown away by the hospitality and food. As soon as you step inside, you can tell that this is a family owned business as the ladies cooking know everyone who walks in by name. I came around 12 for lunch and it was very busy. There is only about 3 small tables to eat at so i think most of the customers take their lunch to go. These ladies work non stop and were extremely friendly. I finally settled on the thursday special which was chicken schnitzel with 3 types of salads: potato, pasta and leafy. I also got a pretzel bun with their three homemade sauces. It came to about $13.50 which was a great price for the portion size. Everything was fresh and flavourful. I was full for the rest of the day.
  
  It may have taken 30 minutes to get my lunch but I came at their most busy time. They gave me a card and suggested I call to place my order ahead or drop by earlier to avoid the rush. I love when you can see the love that is put into the food.
  
  Do yourself a favour and check this place out! You wont be disappointed.
  
  I plan to go back and try their cheesecake and paella special soon.
